With the emerging viewpoints in contemporary art and the re-shaping notions for displaying artwork within a context, the definition of museums are undergoing a transition. However many artists have been facing the challenge of practicing and sharing art within strict, confined parameters, due to standardized platforms that are a product of the modernization movement.
Not having adequate support for presenting their craftsmanship, artists, artisans, designers experience the problem of separation from their society’s cultural texture. Reimagined Museums gives the opportunity for creators to preserve traditional values through sharing their unique production methods.

Poster design with artist interviews and tabletop photos printed on newsprint.
03
Tabletop visual of artist Victoria Manganiello’s workspace.
Visiting the studios of local artists in New York, Leyla explores the alternate ways for displaying, exchanging and spreading artwork, while examining the processes and the use of craftsmanship, rather than solely the final products.
The tools that have been used by the artists have been photographed as tabletop displays and then transformed into posters. The poster designs, and the project research phase have been unified in a website.
