a series in the making,
exploring intuitive mark making.

The layered quality of these ink prints explore the interplay of form and color through a process of reprinting on the same surface with new compositions. Small sketches are prepared in advance, yet the marbling process carries its own organic rhythm — planned, but never fully controlled. In this balance lies the beauty: shaped by intention, yet always transformed by the unpredictable nature of water.

The contrasts make me appreciate certain values more like sunlight, warm relationships, encounters.

Artist studio visits in New York and Istanbul has opened up new perspectives in my practice, inviting fresh possibilities for material experimentation.
