a series in the making, inspired by the elements of
land, sea, sky, fragments of acrylic studies on canvas.
The presence of the element of air and water in my practice felt like a strong connection to home. While working on different scales of canvas, waves seemed to rise from the surface, and skies and warm air unfolded through the play of light, bringing in subtle traces of excitement and movement.
Over the years, my curiosity for the communication and emotions between people and spaces, landscapes became more present across my creative work. Emotional Scapes came to light as an extension of this practice.
I came to notify how writing about, recording, the steps of the paintings almost became a new roadmap into my decision making. Using the canvas as a medium to meditate, emotions were more easily are liberated on the surface.
