a series in the making, inspired by the elements of
land, sea, sky, fragments of acrylic studies on canvas.
The presence of the element of air and water in my practice felt like a strong connection to home. While working on different scale canvases, I felt the waves emerging on the surface; the skies, the warmth of the air, playing with light, bring the traces of excitement.
Over the years, my curiosity for the communication and emotions between people and spaces, landscapes became more present across my creative work. Emotional Scapes came to light as an extension of this practice.
I came to notify how writing about, recording, the steps of the paintings almost became a new roadmap into my decision making. Using the canvas as a medium to meditate on, the emotions were more easily are liberated on the surface.
