Of the Sun, is an exhibition by Aslı Smith that focuses on a selection of woven paintings made using natural inks that are derived from plants using boiling and steaming techniques.

The artists’s practice is inspired by the cycles and offerings of nature, exploring creative approaches for bringing visibility to the transformations the sun brings upon earth. Smith uses plants, food scraps, stones, soil, combining them with various methods to produce art materials.
